Maximize Beacon Effect Range and Power

Build a Multi-Layer Pyramid

Expand your beacon base vertically by adding more layers beneath the beacon. Each additional layer increases the effect range and unlocks stronger effect tiers. A four-layer pyramid provides maximum range and access to all available effects.

Layer Structure

Each layer must be one block smaller per side than the layer below it. For example: a four-layer pyramid has a 4×4 base, then 3×3, 2×2, and 1×1 layers stacked upward.

Mix Block Types

You don't need to use only lapis blocks. Combine lapis lazuli blocks with iron, gold, diamond, or netherite blocks in the same pyramid. All mineral blocks count toward pyramid height and effect power.

Test Your Range

Once activated, walk away from the beacon in different directions to find the effect boundary. Larger pyramids create larger spheres of effect around the beacon.

Optimize Placement

Position your beacon in a central location where players gather frequently. Higher pyramids benefit larger areas, making them ideal for communal bases or spawn points.
