Using the Search Bar to Find a Language Fast

Why Search Beats Scrolling

Vanilla Minecraft sorts languages alphabetically, which is painful when you want a specific locale buried in a long list. Language Reload adds a search bar directly to the language selection screen. Instead of dragging the scrollbar, you type a few letters and the list filters down instantly.

Step-by-Step

1. Open Options... → Language... from the pause menu.

2. Click into the search field at the top of the language list.

3. Type part of the language name — you can search in English (for example, the English name of the language) or in the language's own script. The mod matches both, so typing a native name works too.

4. Click the filtered result to apply it immediately.

Searching Items in Another Language

The mod also enables multilingual item search. In creative inventory or recipe viewers, you can type an item's name in a language other than your currently selected one and still get matches. This is handy when you know an item by its translated name but your game is running in a different locale — you do not have to switch the whole interface just to find one block.

Practical Uses

  • Quickly jump to a language whose name you only half-remember.
  • Find items when following a guide written in another language.
  • Avoid scrolling through dozens of entries in large modpacks with many translation files.
