How to Control Op Permissions for Players in Your LAN World

Granting and Removing Op

In a normal LAN world, op status is handed out once when you open the world and is awkward to change afterward. This mod gives you control over who is an operator while the session is running.

1. Open your world to LAN so the session is active.

2. Open the mod's player management interface, where connected and known players are listed.

3. Find the player you want to change and toggle their operator status.

4. The change applies immediately, so the player gains or loses op commands without you restarting the world.

What Op Actually Allows

  • Operators can run commands such as teleporting, changing time and weather, and giving items, depending on your world's cheat settings.
  • Op also lets players use command blocks and other administrative features if those are enabled.
  • Only give op to people you trust, since an operator can alter the world in ways that are hard to undo.

Keeping Things Tidy

  • Review the op list when new players join, especially if you shared the address widely.
  • If someone abuses op, remove it from the same interface rather than shutting the world down.
  • Combine op control with PVP settings so a trusted builder is not accidentally able to fight everyone.
