How to Add Sandpaper Polishing and Splashing Recipes
Sandpaper Polishing
Polishing is what happens when you right-click an item with Sandpaper, or when a Deployer uses Sandpaper on a belt. The signature is event.recipes.create.sandpaper_polishing(output, input).
`js
ServerEvents.recipes(event => {
event.recipes.create.sandpaper_polishing(
'minecraft:iron_nugget',
'minecraft:iron_ingot'
)
})
`
Splashing (Bulk Washing)
Splashing is the fan-over-water recipe. It takes a single item input and an array of outputs, and supports chanced outputs just like crushing.
`js
ServerEvents.recipes(event => {
event.recipes.create.splashing([
'minecraft:clay_ball',
Item.of('minecraft:gold_nugget').withChance(0.1)
], 'minecraft:sand')
})
`
Tips for Both Types
Both recipes accept item tags in place of concrete items, so #forge:sand works as an input. Outputs can be a single item string or an array. If a polishing recipe doesn't trigger, check that the Deployer actually has Sandpaper in its hand — the recipe itself is fine, but the tool must be present. Use /reload after editing and watch the KubeJS log for errors.
