How to Tell If Ksyxis Is Actually Improving Your Performance

Ksyxis is a small, targeted mod, so the difference it makes depends heavily on your machine and how you play. Here is how to check whether it is helping you.

What Ksyxis Actually Changes

It stops the game from keeping the spawn chunks loaded. On older versions that was a large grid of chunks; on newer versions it is a smaller grid. Either way, the saving comes from not ticking and processing those chunks while you are elsewhere. If you spend all your time near spawn, you will notice little difference because those chunks load anyway.

How to Measure It

1. Note your typical frame rate and memory usage while playing far from spawn, with the mod installed.

2. Compare against a session without the mod, ideally on the same world and same location.

3. Watch for reduced background CPU load and lower memory pressure, especially on lower-spec machines.

4. Pay attention to world load times, since skipping spawn chunk loading can shorten the initial load.

Realistic Expectations

On a high-end PC the change may be invisible. On a low-spec machine or a heavily modded pack, freeing those chunks can meaningfully reduce stutter and memory use. If you see no change, that is normal and not a sign the mod is broken.
