Make a Tree Look Naturally Connected

Keep Leaves Attached

The easiest way to get connected wood rings and a living appearance is to leave the tree's natural leaves in place. When logs are still touching their original foliage, the mod treats them as a living tree and displays the wood rings as one continuous trunk from bottom to top.

Steps

1. Find a tree in your world with leaves still attached

2. Do not remove any leaves from the trunk

3. The logs will automatically show connected growth rings and natural bark patterns

4. The wood will maintain this living appearance as long as the leaves remain

Harvesting While Keeping the Look

If you need to chop the tree down, the stump left behind will still show natural growth rings and connected wood grain. Once you remove logs completely from the tree or strip away all the leaves, individual blocks will no longer display the connected ring effect—they'll appear as separate pieces suitable for building.
