How do I kiss another player?

Stand close to the other player, make sure you're both looking directly at each other, then press and hold your sneak key (Shift by default) at the same time. A kiss will trigger when both conditions are met.

Do both players need to have the mod installed?

No, the mod runs mainly on the server side, so only the server needs it installed. Other players can join and participate without downloading the mod themselves.

What happens when I kiss someone for the first time?

A special text popup message appears to celebrate your first kiss with that player. This is a one-time notification per player pair.

Can I share status effects through kissing?

Yes, if you have the Estrogen mod installed, you can share the Girl Power status effect with a kiss. The mod will copy half of your effect timer to your friend without reducing your own timer.

How do I turn off effect sharing?

Open the config file at config/kiss-a-friend.toml and adjust the settings to disable effect sharing. You can still kiss normally without sharing effects.

Why isn't the kiss triggering when I sneak at someone?

Both players must be sneaking and looking directly at each other at the same time. Make sure you're close enough and that your crosshairs are aimed at each other's faces.

Does the mod work on single-player worlds?

No, this mod is designed for multiplayer servers where you can interact with other players. You need at least two players present to use the kissing feature.

Can I kiss the same player multiple times?

Yes, you can kiss any player as many times as you want. The special first-kiss popup only appears once per player pair.
