Kinship Control Board Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I open the Kinship Control Board menu?
Press the keybind for the mod (default is usually a configurable key in your controls menu) to open the Party Manager screen. If you don't see it, check your key bindings in Options to make sure the mod keybind isn't conflicting with another mod or game function.
Can I use this mod on servers that don't have Open Parties installed?
No, this mod is a client-side interface for Open Parties and Claims servers only. The server must have the Open Parties mod running for the Kinship Control Board to function—it won't work on vanilla or other server types.
What's the difference between a party and allies?
A party is a team you actively create and manage with members who have specific ranks and permissions. Allies are other players or groups you've allied with for coordination, and they appear in a separate allies tab for quick reference without formal membership.
How do I invite someone to my party if they're not online?
Open the Party Manager, go to the invite section, and enter the player's username. The invitation will be sent even if they're offline, and they'll see it the next time they log in and check their pending invites.
Can I change someone's rank after I've invited them?
Yes, once they accept the invitation and join your party, you can click on their name in the member list and use the rank adjustment buttons to promote or demote them without removing them from the party.
What happens if I accidentally kick someone from my party?
They're removed immediately and will no longer see your party's information. You can re-invite them through the invite menu, and they'll receive a new invitation to rejoin.
Is there a limit to how many people can be in one party?
The mod is designed to handle large team sizes with scrollable member lists, but the actual limit depends on your server's Open Parties configuration. Check with your server admin if you're unsure about party size caps.
Do I need to type any chat commands to use this mod?
No, the entire point of the Kinship Control Board is to replace chat commands with a visual menu. Everything—creating parties, inviting players, managing ranks, and organizing allies—is done through clickable buttons and windows.
Will this mod slow down my game or cause lag?
The mod runs on the client side and only manages your interface, so it has minimal performance impact. If you experience lag, it's more likely due to server performance or other mods rather than this one.
Can I customize the appearance or position of the Party Manager window?
Most visual mods allow you to move and resize windows, but specific customization options depend on your mod configuration. Check the mod's settings menu or config files to see what display options are available.
