Kinship Contracts Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I start a quest?
Open the villager talk screen by right-clicking any villager, and you'll see a new Quests button. Click it to view available jobs for that villager, then accept any quest that interests you.
Do I lose friendship if I reject a quest?
No, declining quests doesn't penalize your friendship. You can accept or skip jobs freely without affecting your relationship with that villager.
How do I track a quest objective?
The mod highlights your target villager through walls and displays a live compass bearing showing their direction and distance, so you always know where to go.
What happens if I abandon a quest mid-way?
Abandoning an active quest will fail it and may slightly reduce your friendship with that villager, so only drop quests if you're certain you can't complete them.
Can I do quests from multiple villagers at once?
Yes, you can accept and track multiple quests simultaneously from different villagers across your world.
How do story chains work?
As you complete quests and build friendship with a villager, new quest chains unlock that evolve based on your history with them, creating a progression of related tasks.
Do nitwits and jobless villagers have quests?
Yes, the mod includes over 190 quests across all professions, including unique jobs for guards, jobless villagers, and nitwits.
What quest types are there?
The mod covers 32 objective types including monster hunting, fishing, building, delivering letters, escorting travelers, gathering crops, and defending villages.
Does this mod work with other Minecraft Comes Alive mods?
Kinship Contracts Mod is designed as an add-on for Minecraft Comes Alive: Reborn, so compatibility depends on whether other mods also target that base mod.
Will this mod cause lag with many villagers?
The mod is designed to handle multiple active quests efficiently, but performance depends on your system and how many other mods you're running.
