Light Up a Moving Elevator or Cart with Torches

Attach Light Sources to Your Moving Build

Place torches, lanterns, or glowstone blocks directly on your Create elevator, cart, or other moving contraption. The light will move with the machinery in real-time, eliminating dark cabins and shadowed interiors.

Use Colored Lights for Ambiance

Soul lanterns emit blue light, redstone torches glow red, and froglights produce pastel colors. Mix these on your elevator or cart to create themed lighting that travels with your build.

Account for Light Blending

If multiple light sources are close together, their colors will blend naturally. Plan your torch placement to avoid over-bright spots or unwanted color mixing.

Test Movement

Run your contraption through its full range of motion. The light should follow smoothly without flickering or lag. If the lighting feels jerky, check your updateInterval setting—lower values provide smoother updates but cost more performance.
