Use Conditions and Branches to Control Program Flow
Create Conditional Logic
The If node lets you branch your program based on conditions. This is essential for responsive factory automation.
Steps:
1. Drag a wire from any node's output pin
2. Release to spawn an If node
3. Click the If node to configure your condition (e.g., "item count is below 10")
4. Two output pins appear: one for true, one for false
5. Drag wires from each pin to create separate action chains
Combine Multiple Conditions
You can stack If nodes to create complex logic:
- Chain If nodes together so the output of one feeds into the next
- Use forget nodes to clear stored values between cycles
- Apply item tag filters to group similar items (e.g., all ores, all ingots)
Test Your Logic
Watch the live program preview as you build. It shows exactly how your conditions will execute. If the preview looks correct, your branching logic is ready to run in-game.
