Calling Your Mount Mid-Air

If you fall from your flying mount or jump from a high place without a creature, you can call your mount to catch you before you hit the ground.

While falling, press Shift + F to summon your mount. Your creature will fly toward you and catch you mid-air, automatically positioning you on its back.

Timing and Safety

The rescue works best when you have enough altitude for your mount to reach you—falling from very low heights may not give your creature enough time to arrive. Your mount's speed stat affects how quickly it can respond, so faster creatures are more reliable for last-second saves.

Once caught, you're back in control of your flying mount. You can continue flying or descend to land safely. This mechanic is especially useful when exploring high terrain, flying over oceans, or experimenting with risky jumps.

Note: Your mount must be in your active party and capable of flight for this to work.
