Kinetic Creature Mounts Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I get my creature to let me ride it?
Press Shift + Right Click on your creature to open its interaction screen, then click the Ride button. Your creature must be in your party and able to be ridden (flying, swimming, or ground types depending on the creature).
What creatures can I actually ride?
The mod includes pre-configured riding settings for more than thirty-five species, with flying types like Charizard and Aerodactyl, water types for swimming, and ground-based creatures for standard riding. Check the seat editor or in-game interaction screen to see if your specific creature is supported.
How do I take off and fly with my mount?
Once mounted, press Space to take off into the air. Use your mouse to control pitch and direction, and press Shift to descend or land safely.
Can I save my mount if I'm falling from the sky?
Yes—press Shift + F while falling to call your mount for a mid-air rescue. Your mount will fly over and catch you, but make sure your creature has enough stamina to reach you.
How do I pick up mobs or other players while riding?
Press G while mounted to grab nearby mobs and players. Press G again to release them. Not all creatures can grab things—only those with the appropriate capability.
How do I adjust where I sit on my mount?
Press ; (semicolon) while riding to open the real-time seat editor menu. You can adjust your position, rotation, and flight speed settings without dismounting.
Does my mount's speed depend on its stats?
Yes—mount flight speeds and acceleration scale directly with your creature's stats, so a faster or stronger creature will perform better in the air and water.
Can I ride creatures underwater?
Water creatures can swim smoothly across surfaces and deep underwater. Mount them and use the same flight controls to navigate through water.
Why does my mount feel slow or unresponsive?
Check your creature's stamina—it drains during flight and affects performance. You can also use the seat editor (press ;) to adjust acceleration and speed settings for that specific mount.
Will this mod work with other Cobblemon mods and shaders?
The mod is built to expand Cobblemon and works with most shader packs (as shown in the screenshots). Compatibility with other mods depends on whether they modify creature models or riding mechanics—test in-game or check mod documentation if you experience conflicts.
