Killer Bunny Name Tag Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I turn a rabbit into a killer bunny?
Use a name tag on a rabbit and set its name to "The Killer Bunny" (exact capitalization and spelling required). The rabbit will immediately transform into a killer bunny with red eyes and hostile behavior.
Can I rename a killer bunny back to a regular rabbit?
Yes, use another name tag and change its name to anything other than "The Killer Bunny". The killer bunny will revert to a normal, passive rabbit.
Do killer bunnies drop anything different from regular rabbits?
Killer bunnies created with this mod drop the same items as regular rabbits when killed, so there's no farming advantage to creating them.
Will a killer bunny attack mobs or just players?
Killer bunnies are hostile only to players and will not attack other mobs in your world.
Can I use a name tag on a killer bunny that naturally spawned?
Yes, you can rename naturally-spawned killer bunnies just like any other mob, though renaming them away from "The Killer Bunny" will make them passive.
Does this mod work with other rabbit mods?
This mod should work alongside most other mods, but compatibility depends on how those mods modify rabbit behavior—test in your specific modpack if unsure.
What happens if I name a rabbit something similar to "The Killer Bunny"?
The name must match exactly (including capitalization and spacing) to trigger the transformation; close variations will not work.
Can I create a killer bunny farm with this mod?
Yes, you can breed rabbits normally and then selectively rename them to create killer bunnies for traps or controlled encounters.
Do killer bunnies despawn like regular rabbits?
Killer bunnies follow the same despawn rules as regular rabbits, so they may despawn if you travel far away unless you take steps to prevent it.
Is there a performance impact from having many killer bunnies?
Killer bunnies are just renamed rabbits, so they have no additional performance cost beyond what regular rabbits would use.
