Recognize the Blood Moon Event

On rare nights, a giant red blood moon rises and tints the entire world red. This is a cosmetic event that increases the horror atmosphere but doesn't directly change mob behavior. However, the red tint makes navigation harder and the psychological effect is intense.

Stay Indoors

When the blood moon appears, remain in your shelter. The red-tinted landscape combined with the shader's fog and darkness creates maximum disorientation. Your torches will still provide safety, but venturing outside is unnecessarily risky.

Resource Preparation

If you're caught outside during a blood moon, head immediately to the nearest lit structure or create an emergency shelter. The red coloration makes it harder to spot threats, and the visual distortion can trigger fear effects faster. Stock your main base with extra food and torches before blood moons occur, so you're never forced to venture out during one.
