Enhance the Painted Look with Posterization Settings
Access Posterization Controls
Open the shader settings menu and navigate to the Karma Cartoon Style Shaders options. Look for the posterization or color flattening setting.
Adjust Color Flattening
Posterization reduces the number of color gradients in your world, creating a cleaner, more hand-painted appearance. Increase the posterization value to flatten more color information, making blocks and terrain appear more like solid paint strokes. Lower values preserve more subtle color variation.
Combine with Other Settings
Posterization works best when paired with your light banding choice. Higher posterization combined with fewer light bands creates an extremely stylized, comic-book look. Lower posterization with four light bands produces a softer, watercolor-like effect.
Fine-Tune Your Aesthetic
Test different posterization levels in various biomes and lighting conditions. Bright outdoor areas show the effect most clearly. Adjust until your world feels like a cohesive animated environment rather than realistic terrain with cartoon filters applied.
