Just Sit Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I sit down?
Press the V key (by default) while standing on the ground, and your character will sit down. You'll see your character model lower into a sitting position.
How do I stand back up?
Press the V key again, or press any movement key like W, A, S, or D to stand up automatically.
Can I change the keybind from V?
Yes. Open your controls settings in the pause menu, search for "Sit" in the keybind list, and assign it to any key you prefer.
What blocks can I sit on?
You can sit on most solid blocks, including stairs, slabs, logs, and decorative blocks like benches. Some blocks may not support sitting depending on their shape or collision box.
Can I sit on chairs or furniture from other mods?
It depends on the block's collision box. If the furniture block is solid enough for you to stand on, you can usually sit on it, though results vary by mod.
Do I stay sitting if I close the game?
No. When you log back in, your character will be standing. The sitting position is only maintained during your current session.
Can other players see me sitting?
Yes, in multiplayer servers, other players will see your character in the sitting pose.
Does sitting affect my ability to fight or use items?
While sitting, you cannot attack mobs or use tools effectively. Stand up first if you need to defend yourself or interact with the world.
Why can't I sit in certain locations?
You can only sit on solid blocks with appropriate collision boxes. Transparent blocks, liquids, and blocks with unusual shapes won't support sitting.
Does this mod cause lag or performance issues?
Just Sit Mod is lightweight and should not cause noticeable performance problems on most systems.
