How to Display Player Heads as Decoration or Trophies

Placing Heads

Player heads are placed the same way as any other head block: hold the head and right-click the top of a block, or place it against a wall. Once placed, you can rotate it by interacting with it, letting you aim the face in the direction you want.

This makes heads useful for trophy walls, shop signs, NPC decoration, and memorials. A row of heads on fence posts or a wall of heads above a chest room are common builds.

Using Heads in Builds

Because the heads are pure vanilla resources, you can use them with redstone, pistons, and note blocks just like normal heads. They also work with armour stands and item frames if you would rather display them as items.

If you are decorating a server spawn, gather heads for staff members or notable players using the command, then place them in a dedicated hall. Since the heads are tied to real accounts, they will render the correct skin. Keep in mind that if a player changes their skin later, the stored head keeps the texture it was generated with — it does not update automatically.
