How to Use Just Fancy Torches With Other Resource Packs

Why Load Order Matters

Just Fancy Torches only edits torch models and textures. If another pack in your list also changes torches, whichever pack is higher in the list wins for those files. Getting the order right lets you keep your main pack for everything else while still getting the fancy torches.

Setting Up a Compatible Stack

1. Open Options > Resource Packs and look at the selected packs on the right side.

2. Drag Just Fancy Torches above any pack that also edits torch models or textures.

3. Leave your large terrain or UI pack below it so it still controls everything it normally does.

4. Apply the changes and let the game reload resources.

5. Place and hold a torch to confirm the fancy model and animated flame are showing.

Mixing With Mods

If you run mods that add their own torch-like blocks, those blocks keep their own models unless the pack specifically covers them. Just Fancy Torches targets the standard torch, so modded torches will look unchanged. If a mod overrides vanilla torch rendering, that mod takes priority over the resource pack, and you would need to disable or configure it to see the pack's model.
