How to Fix Torches That Look Wrong or Broken
Common Causes
Torch models and textures are frequently touched by other resource packs, so the most common problem is a conflict rather than a bug in Just Fancy Torches itself. Missing or pink-and-black textures usually mean the pack did not load fully or another pack is overriding only part of the torch files.
Troubleshooting Steps
1. Open Options > Resource Packs and confirm Just Fancy Torches is enabled and shows no error icon.
2. Move it to the top of the selected packs list so it takes priority over packs that also edit torches.
3. Press F3+T in-game to reload all resources and re-read the torch models and textures.
4. If torches render as flat vanilla sprites, another pack is overriding the model — disable packs one at a time to find the culprit.
5. If torches are invisible or show missing textures, re-download the pack and re-add it, since a partial download can leave texture files missing.
When It Is Not the Pack
If torches look wrong even with only this pack enabled, check whether a mod is replacing torch rendering. Mods that change block models or lighting can conflict with resource pack models, and in that case the mod usually wins.
