How to Make Your Player's Eyes Show Emotions with Just Expressions
What the Pack Actually Changes
Just Expressions is a resource pack, not a mod, so it does not add new items or commands. Instead it swaps out the player model's eye textures and animation files so that your avatar's eyes blink, look around, and shift expression the way Fresh Animations mobs do. Because it targets the player model specifically, it works alongside Fresh Animations rather than replacing it.
Getting It Working
1. Make sure the pack sits above any other pack that also edits the player model (for example, a custom skin overlay pack), otherwise the eye animation files get overwritten and you will see a static face.
2. Enable it in your resource pack list and reload with F3 + T so the new textures load without restarting.
3. Switch to third-person view (F5) to actually see the effect — the eyes are only visible on your rendered model, not in first person.
4. If you use a custom skin, check that your skin's eye area is not fully opaque black; the pack animates the eye region, and a flat dark eye will hide most of the motion.
If Nothing Happens
Confirm no other pack is overriding assets/minecraft/models/player or the eye texture path. Test with only Just Expressions enabled to isolate conflicts, then re-add packs one at a time.
