How to Build Parkour Courses and Obstacle Runs with Jumpable Fences
Fences as parkour obstacles
Normally fences are walls you must route around. With this mod they become low hurdles you can leap, which makes them ideal for parkour and obstacle courses. You can place single fence lines as hurdles, or stagger several fences at different heights using walls and fences together.
Designing a course
1. Lay out a path of blocks for the running surface.
2. Place fence lines across the path at intervals to act as hurdles.
3. Vary the spacing so players must time their jumps rather than spam them.
4. Use walls (which are also jumpable) for slightly different silhouettes and heights.
Because both fences and walls are covered, you can mix them freely for visual variety without changing how the player clears them.
Testing and tuning
Run the course yourself first. If a hurdle feels too easy, tighten the spacing between fences so the player has less room to land and re-jump. If it feels unfair, widen the gap. Keep in mind the mod only boosts the jump over fence and wall blocks, so gaps between platforms still behave like normal Minecraft jumps. This lets you combine true gap jumps with fence hurdles in the same course.
