Fixing Common Issues When Fences Won't Let You Jump Over Them
Check the block type first
The mod only affects blocks that extend the fence or wall classes. If a barrier in your world is actually a solid block, a pane, or a custom block that does not use those classes, you will not be able to jump it. Try jumping a plain wooden fence to confirm the mod is working, then compare it to the block that is giving you trouble.
Positioning and approach
If a jump fails, you are likely too far from the fence or approaching at a steep angle. Step right up against the fence so your character is touching it, then jump. Jumping from a distance will not clear the fence because the height boost is tied to being at the fence itself.
Ceilings and tight spaces
A low ceiling or a block directly above the fence can stop your jump before you clear the top. Remove overhead blocks or raise the ceiling above fence lines you want to hop. Similarly, if two fences are placed back to back with no gap, there may be nowhere to land; leave at least one open space on the far side.
Single-player vs. servers
No server installation is required, so in single-player the mod works as soon as it is present. On a multiplayer server, the behavior depends on whether the server allows the mod's movement change; if jumps are being rejected, that is a server-side limitation rather than a problem with your fence.
