Fixing Custom Discs That Still Cut Off or Won't Play After Installing the Mod
First Checks
If a custom disc still stops early or plays nothing, the mod may not be the cause. Work through these in order.
Verify the Mod Is Active
1. Confirm the mod is installed on the correct side — jukebox behavior is server-authoritative, so it must be present on the server (or in singleplayer's integrated server).
2. Make sure client and server run the same mod version to avoid desync.
3. Check your mod loader's log for errors mentioning the jukebox or the disc item.
Verify the Disc Itself
1. Confirm the custom disc item actually exists and has audio assigned by its source (resource pack or disc-adding mod). A disc with no sound file will appear to "not play."
2. Test the disc in a fresh jukebox in a new area to rule out a stuck block.
3. Remove other mods that also patch jukebox logic one at a time to find conflicts.
If It Cuts Off at the Vanilla Length
That is exactly the bug this mod targets. If it persists, the fix isn't being applied — recheck server-side installation and that no other mod overrides the jukebox. Once working, playback should continue until the disc is removed by hand, hopper, or by breaking the jukebox.
