Access Your Map from Another Device on Your Network
Finding Your Web Map Address
Once JourneyMap Web Map is running, it hosts a local web server on your computer. To access it from a tablet, phone, or secondary monitor:
1. Launch Minecraft with JourneyMap and the Web Map addon active
2. Open a web browser on your secondary device
3. In the address bar, enter your computer's local IP address followed by the port (typically http://192.168.x.x:8080 or similar)
4. The JourneyMap web interface should load, displaying your current map
Troubleshooting Connection Issues
If the page won't load:
- Ensure both devices are connected to the same local network (WiFi or Ethernet)
- Check that your computer's firewall isn't blocking the web map port
- Verify Minecraft is actually running—the web server only operates while the game is active
- Try refreshing the browser page
- If you're unsure of your computer's IP address, check your network settings or router admin panel
Once connected, your map will update in real-time as you explore in-game, allowing you to navigate without alt-tabbing or using a second monitor setup.
