Getting Day and Night Music to Play Correctly

Day and night tracks are handled by the same Reactive Music system that controls biomes, so a broken time trigger usually means a config conflict rather than a missing file.

Understand How the Trigger Works

Reactive Music checks the world time when it picks a track. During daylight hours you get the day selection for your biome, and after the sun sets it swaps to the night selection. The switch happens at the transition, not at midnight, so expect the change around dusk and dawn.

Test It Deliberately

Stand still in one biome and use the time set command to jump between day and night. If the night song never arrives, the most likely cause is that the biome you are standing in has no night entry, so it keeps the day track as a fallback.

Fix Common Problems

If music stops entirely at night, check that your vanilla music slider is not at zero and that no other music mod is fighting for the same channel. Two music mods loaded together will often cancel each other out. Disable the competing one, reload with F3+T, and test again. Also confirm you are not in a dimension like the Nether, which overrides both day and night logic with its own track.
