Understanding Why JAOPCA Adds Items You Did Not Craft

New players often open JEI after installing JAOPCA and find dozens of unfamiliar dusts, crushed ores, or nuggets with no obvious source. These are generated, not hand-authored, and they exist purely to connect mods together.

Where They Come From

JAOPCA scans the Ore Dictionary for ore entries and, for each supported processing mod present, creates the intermediate items that mod would logically produce. It also adds the recipes that turn those intermediates into each other or into the final output. Nothing is added if no compatible mod is installed to justify it.

How to Use Them

1. Treat generated items as normal crafting and machine inputs — they behave like any other mod item.

2. Check JEI's usage tab on a generated dust to see every recipe JAOPCA wired up for it.

3. If an item has no recipes at all, the mod that would consume it is likely absent.

4. Do not try to craft generated items by hand unless JEI shows a crafting recipe; most are machine-only.

Recognizing these as compatibility glue rather than new content makes the mod's item list far less confusing.
