Fixing Missing JAOPCA Items or Recipes After Adding Mods

Because JAOPCA generates its content dynamically at load time, the most common problem is that items simply do not exist yet. This is almost always a load-order or registration-timing issue rather than a bug.

Check Registration Timing

JAOPCA includes a modified version of ODI (Ore Dictionary Initializer) that registers Ore Dictionary entries before the main mod runs. Some mods register their entries in PreInit, others later, and a few are inconsistent. JAOPCA has explicit compatibility handling for mods that register late or inconsistently, so make sure you are not mixing versions that break that handling.

Practical Troubleshooting

1. Confirm both the ore-adding mod and the processing mod are actually loaded — check your mod list in game.

2. Search JEI for the base ore first. If the ore itself is missing from the Ore Dictionary, JAOPCA has nothing to work from.

3. Remove mods one at a time to isolate a conflict, since a single mod registering entries at the wrong time can suppress generation.

4. Restart fully rather than reloading — dynamic generation happens during startup, not on a resource reload.

If the ore exists but no processed variant does, the processing mod you expect may not be in JAOPCA's supported list.
