Jade Modded Entities Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Why aren't the mod tooltips showing up when I look at mobs?
Make sure Jade itself is installed and working first, since this mod extends Jade's functionality. Check that you're looking directly at a supported mob—the mod only displays extra info for villagers, SWEM horses, and Doggy Talents Next dogs.
How do I see my dog's gender and stats?
Look at your tamed dog while it's nearby; the tooltip will display gender, current modes, and ability levels automatically. Make sure you're using dogs from Doggy Talents Next, as other dog mods won't show this data.
What information does it show for villagers?
The mod displays the exact breeding cooldown timer for villagers, so you know when they're ready to breed again without guessing.
Can I see SWEM horse abilities and stats?
Yes—look at any horse from the SWEM mod and the tooltip will show their extra stats and special abilities that wouldn't normally be visible.
Does this mod work with other pet mods?
This mod only adds support for Doggy Talents Next dogs, SWEM horses, and villagers. Other pet mods won't display the enhanced tooltips unless they're specifically added in a future update.
How do I know what modes my dog has active?
Hover over your tamed dog and check the tooltip—it lists all active modes and their current levels in real time.
Does the mod show equipment my dog is wearing?
Yes, if your dog has equipped items or cosmetics like wings or masks, they'll be listed in the tooltip along with other stats.
Will this mod cause lag or performance issues?
The mod only reads existing mob data and displays it via Jade's tooltip system, so it has minimal performance impact. If you experience issues, check that Jade itself is running smoothly.
Can I disable tooltips for specific mob types?
Check your Jade configuration settings—you can usually toggle individual tooltip features there, though this mod's specific options depend on your Jade setup.
Why does my villager's cooldown timer show as full even though I just bred them?
The timer displays the remaining cooldown in real time; if it still shows full, the villager may not have entered cooldown yet or the data hasn't synced. Wait a moment and look again.
