How to Tell If Ixeris Is Helping on a High-Polling-Rate Mouse

Set Up a Repeatable Test

You cannot judge this mod by feel alone. Pick a fixed spot in your world, stand still, and note your framerate. Then hold a steady camera rotation for several seconds — a slow, continuous turn is better than a flick. Record the lowest framerate you see during the turn, not the average. The dip during movement is the number that matters.

Compare With and Without the Mod

1. Run the rotation test with Ixeris enabled and write down the minimum framerate.

2. Close the game, disable Ixeris, relaunch, and repeat the exact same rotation from the same position.

3. Compare the two minimums. Ixeris targets frame consistency, so the improvement shows up as a higher floor during movement rather than a higher peak.

What Results to Expect

The benefit scales with how often your mouse reports movement. A high polling rate mouse generates far more events per second, and each one is a chance for the render thread to stall while polling is handled. If your mouse polls at a low rate, or you play with a controller, the difference will be small and hard to measure.

If both runs look identical, check that your framerate is not already capped by vsync or a limiter, which can hide the improvement entirely.
