How to Fix Stuttering When Moving the Camera in Minecraft with Ixeris
Confirm the Mod Is Actually Running
Ixeris is a client-side mod, so it only needs to be present on your own game instance — you do not need it on a server. After launching the game, open your mod list and check that Ixeris appears and is enabled. If it is missing, the mod loader did not pick it up and no amount of in-game tweaking will help.
Reduce the Remaining Sources of Camera Stutter
Once Ixeris is confirmed active, the event-polling stall it targets is already handled. Any stutter you still see while turning the
camera is coming from somewhere else. Work through these in order:
1. Lower your render distance by a few chunks and test a slow 360-degree
camera sweep. Chunk loading is the most common remaining cause.
2. Turn off any shader pack temporarily and repeat the sweep. If the stutter disappears, the shader is the bottleneck, not event polling.
3. Disable other client-side mods that hook into rendering one at a time, restarting between each, to find conflicts.
4. Cap your framerate slightly below your monitor's refresh rate so the render thread is not saturated.
5. Make sure your mouse software is not applying smoothing or acceleration, which adds input jitter on top of rendering.
If the stutter only happens on Windows and vanishes elsewhere, that matches the platform where Ixeris has the most visible effect, so double-check the mod is loaded before chasing other fixes.
