It’s All Connected Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Do I need to install Connected Textures Mod separately?
Yes, It's All Connected Resource Pack requires Connected Textures Mod (CTM) to work. The resource pack alone won't create connected textures without CTM installed on the client side.
Why aren't my connected textures showing up?
Make sure CTM is installed and enabled in your mod loader, the resource pack is loaded above other packs in your resource pack menu, and you've reloaded textures (F3+T). If using Optifine instead of CTM, connected textures may not work the same way.
Which blocks get connected textures?
It's All Connected connects vanilla blocks that logically connect, like stone variants, dirt, wood, glass, and similar materials. Check the mod's screenshots or description to see which blocks are included.
Can I use this with other resource packs?
Yes, but load It's All Connected above other packs in your resource pack list so its textures take priority. If another pack also modifies the same blocks, whichever is loaded higher will be used.
Does this work with Optifine?
It's All Connected is designed for Connected Textures Mod, not Optifine's connected textures feature. While Optifine may have some compatibility, CTM is the intended dependency.
Will this slow down my game?
Connected textures have minimal performance impact since they're purely visual and handled by your GPU. You shouldn't notice a significant FPS drop unless your system is already struggling.
How do I disable connected textures for specific blocks?
You'd need to edit the resource pack's CTM configuration files directly, which requires understanding the CTM format. For most players, it's easier to simply not use the pack or use a different one if you want selective connected textures.
Does this work in multiplayer?
Yes, as long as you have the resource pack and CTM installed on your client. Other players don't need it installed—you'll just see connected textures on your end.
Can I use this with modded blocks?
It's All Connected only affects vanilla Minecraft blocks. Modded blocks won't have connected textures unless the mod pack or another resource pack specifically adds them.
What's the difference between this and just using Optifine's connected textures?
It's All Connected uses CTM, which is a dedicated mod for connected textures and often provides more control and compatibility. Optifine's connected textures feature is simpler but less flexible, and the two may not produce identical results.
