How to Unlock a Slot You Locked by Mistake

The Unlock Action

Hold the unlock key (default B) and left-click the locked slot. The lock indicator disappears and the slot behaves normally again. This works on hotbar slots and on slots inside the inventory screen, so you can fix a mistake without leaving the GUI.

If the Slot Still Refuses to Move

If clicking with the unlock key does nothing, check these in order:

1. You are holding the right key. Lock and unlock are two different keys by default. Holding the lock key on an already-locked slot will not toggle it off.

2. You clicked the correct slot. In the inventory screen, the hotbar row at the bottom is separate from the main grid. A lock on hotbar slot 1 does not protect main-inventory slot 1.

3. Another mod is intercepting the click. Inventory-management mods sometimes rebind or consume left-clicks. Try unlocking from the hotbar instead of the inventory screen, or the reverse.

4. The keybind changed. If you rebound keys in Options → Controls, the old defaults no longer apply.

Bulk Cleanup

If you locked many slots while testing, walk the hotbar and inventory row by row with the unlock key held. There is no separate "clear all locks" screen in the base mod, so a quick pass is the fastest fix. Re-lock only the slots you actually care about.
