Understanding Damage Absorption on Armor

How Armor Damage Tracking Works

Whenever you take damage while wearing armor, the mod records that damage amount on each piece of armor you're currently wearing. This includes helmets, chestplates, leggings, boots, and shields. The total damage absorbed is displayed in the tooltip of each piece.

What Counts as Damage

All incoming damage is tracked—this includes:

  • Melee attacks from mobs and players
  • Projectile damage (arrows, fireballs)
  • Environmental damage (fall damage, fire, drowning) if your armor reduces it
  • Explosions

Viewing Your Armor's Protection Record

Hover over any piece of armor in your inventory to see the cumulative damage it has absorbed. This gives you a sense of how much punishment your gear has taken and how effective it's been at protecting you. Shields track damage separately from body armor.
