Swap or Change an Item on a Sign

Updating Sign Labels

If you need to change what item is displayed on a sign, the process is straightforward.

1. Sneak and right-click the sign that currently has an item

2. The displayed item will drop into your inventory

3. Pick up a different item

4. Sneak and right-click the sign again

5. The new item will appear on the sign

Quick Swaps

You don't need to break or replace the sign itself—just swap the items. This is useful when reorganizing storage or correcting mislabeled chests.

Multiple Items Per Sign

Note that each sign displays one item at a time. If you need to show multiple items for a storage area, use multiple signs placed side by side.
