Place an Item Into a Sign

Basic Placement

Item Signs Mod lets you display items directly on signs without using item frames. This is useful for labeling storage areas or creating visual indicators.

1. Craft or find a sign (any wood type works)

2. Place the sign on a block or wall

3. Hold an item in your hand

4. Sneak (hold Shift) and right-click the sign

5. The item will appear on the sign's surface

Removing Items

To take an item off a sign, sneak and right-click the sign again. The item will drop into your inventory.

Hanging Signs

This mod works with hanging signs too. Place a hanging sign under a block, then sneak and right-click it the same way. The item will display on the hanging sign just like a regular sign.

You can use this feature to create cheap storage labels throughout your base. Since signs only need wood to craft, this is much more economical than using item frames for every storage container.
