Restrict Smelting and Brewing of Specific Items

Setting Up Smelting Restrictions

Prevent players from smelting certain items in furnaces or blast furnaces. This is useful for controlling resource progression or creating custom crafting economies.

Steps for Smelting

1. Access your mod configuration

2. Find the smelting restrictions section

3. Add the item's registry name (the output item, not the input)

4. Save and reload

When configured, players won't be able to smelt the restricted item—the furnace won't accept it as a valid recipe.

Setting Up Brewing Restrictions

Similarly, restrict potion brewing to control which potions players can create.

1. Locate the brewing restrictions section

2. Add the potion's registry name

3. Save and reload

Testing Both

For smelting: place a restricted item in a furnace with fuel. The furnace won't process it.

For brewing: attempt to create a restricted potion at a brewing stand. The potion won't brew, and ingredients won't be consumed.
