Restrict a Specific Item from Being Crafted
Setting Up the Restriction
To prevent players from crafting a particular item, you'll need to access the mod's configuration file or in-game command system (depending on your setup). Locate the crafting restrictions section and add the item you want to block.
Steps
1. Open your mod configuration folder or use the mod's configuration interface
2. Find the crafting restrictions list
3. Add the item's registry name (for example: minecraft:diamond_pickaxe)
4. Save the configuration
5. Reload the mod or restart your server
Testing Your Restriction
Once configured, attempt to craft the restricted item at a crafting table. The crafting grid should prevent you from completing the recipe—the item won't appear in the output slot, or the recipe will be grayed out depending on your mod version.
If multiple players are on a server, the restriction applies to all of them equally. You can create different restriction sets for different player groups if your mod version supports permission-based restrictions.
