Block Players from Breaking Blocks with Specific Tools
Configuring Block Interaction Restrictions
Prevent players from using certain tools to break blocks. This is useful for protecting specific tools from wear or creating tool-specific mining challenges.
Steps
1. Open your mod's configuration
2. Find the block interaction restrictions section
3. Add the tool's registry name to the breaking restrictions list
4. Optionally specify which block types are affected (or leave blank to restrict all blocks)
5. Save and reload
Testing the Restriction
Equip the restricted tool and attempt to break a block. The block should remain unaffected—it won't break, and the tool won't take durability damage. The player can still hold and use the tool for other purposes.
If you want to restrict only specific blocks rather than all blocks, check if your mod version supports per-block restrictions. Some configurations allow you to list both the tool and the target blocks together, giving you fine-grained control over what can and cannot be broken.
