Understand the Border Color System

Item Overlay Border Mod assigns each rarity tier its own distinct color. When you open your inventory, container, or hotbar, items above Common rarity automatically display a colored outline. The color directly matches the item's rarity classification in the game.

Spot Valuable Items Quickly

Instead of hovering over every item to read its tooltip, scan your inventory for colored borders. Items with no border are Common rarity and typically less valuable. Colored borders highlight your best gear, enchanted tools, and rare loot instantly.

Works Across All Screens

Borders appear in:

• Your player inventory
• Chests and containers you open
• Your hotbar during gameplay
• Recipe viewers like JEI, REI, and EMI
• Shop menus if you use CashShop

This consistent visual system helps you manage your items more efficiently without memorizing rarity names or stopping to check tooltips constantly.
