Iron’s Spells Incantation Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I start using voice casting?
Launch the mod and look for the microphone icon on your screen—this shows when the mod is listening. Simply speak the name of any spell you have equipped in your spellbook or weapon, and it will cast. Make sure your microphone is connected and working in your system settings.
Why isn't the mod recognizing what I'm saying?
Check that your microphone is enabled in your system settings and that the in-game microphone icon appears on screen. Background noise, speaking too quietly, or unclear pronunciation can cause recognition to fail—try speaking clearly and in a quieter environment. If problems persist, see the Troubleshoot Voice Recognition Not Working guide.
Can I use voice casting if I don't have a spell equipped?
No, the mod only casts spells you actually have equipped in your spellbook or on your weapon. This is a safety feature to prevent accidental casting and ensure you only trigger magic you own.
What if a spell name is hard to pronounce or my accent makes it hard to recognize?
You can create custom voice commands for any spell using the mod's custom words feature. This lets you set up your own secret words or phrases that are easier for you to say and for the mod to recognize—see Set Up Custom Voice Commands for Difficult Spell Names for details.
Does voice casting work with imbued swords and staffs?
Yes, voice casting works perfectly with imbued weapons when you hold them. Just speak the spell name while holding an imbued sword or staff and it will cast if that spell is bound to the weapon.
Is my voice recorded or sent to the internet?
No, everything runs locally on your computer. Your voice is never recorded, stored, or sent over the internet—all voice processing happens privately on your machine.
Do I need a voice chat mod for this to work?
No, this mod includes its own voice recognition system and does not require any additional voice chat mods. It works standalone as long as your microphone is connected to your computer.
Can I see statistics about my spell casting?
Yes, the mod tracks your magic statistics including your favorite spell and daily casting streaks. You can view these stats in a special tracking interface—see Track and View Your Magic Statistics for how to access them.
Will this mod slow down my game or use a lot of resources?
The mod is designed to run efficiently on your computer with minimal performance impact. Voice processing happens locally without sending data elsewhere, so resource usage depends mainly on your microphone hardware and system capabilities.
Can I turn off voice casting temporarily without uninstalling the mod?
Yes, you can disable the microphone listening by toggling the mod's settings or by looking away from the microphone icon on screen. The exact method depends on your mod configuration—check your mod settings menu for voice casting options.
