Add Color and Tooltips to Shader Names
Customize Shader Appearance
Make shaders stand out in your menu by recoloring their names and adding helpful descriptions.
Applying Colors
1. Open your mod's configuration file
2. Find the recolor rules section
3. Specify a shader pack name and assign it a Minecraft color code (e.g., ` for red, for gold, ` for aqua)
4. You can color the entire name or use regex to color only part of it
5. Save and reload
Adding Tooltips
1. In the same config file, locate the tooltip section
2. Add an entry for your shader pack with a custom description
3. This tooltip appears when you hover over the shader in the menu
4. Use tooltips to note shader features, performance impact, or personal notes
Examples
- Color your favorite shaders gold to spot them instantly
- Add tooltips like "High performance" or "Best for screenshots"
- Use different colors to categorize shaders by style or purpose
These visual customizations make your shader menu more intuitive and personalized without changing any shader files.
