Setting up a passenger route with Superliner coaches

Planning your route

Superliner coaches are designed for long-distance passenger travel and work best on curves with a radius of 50 or higher. Plan your track layout to avoid tight turns, which can cause cars to disconnect or clip through terrain.

Building and connecting your train

Start by placing a P42 or F59PHI locomotive at the front of your consist. These engines are optimized to pull Superliner cars smoothly. Behind the locomotive, attach your Superliner Coach cars in your desired sequence. You can mix Coach, Diner, and Lounge cars to create variety along your route.

Loading passengers

Superliner interiors feature adjusted seating with two seats per row, allowing both player characters and villagers to sit comfortably without clipping. Lead villagers into the cars and they will automatically find seats. You can also ride along as a passenger to test comfort and sightlines.

Testing and refinement

Run a test journey at normal speed to ensure all cars stay connected through curves and over terrain changes. If cars separate, increase your track curve radius further. Adjust your route as needed before establishing regular service.
