Using Totems of Undying Without Holding Them in Combat

Why This Matters in Fights

Normally you must sacrifice a hand slot to a totem, which means giving up your sword, bow, or shield. With Inventory Totem Mod, your hands stay free for offense and defense while the totem sits safely in your inventory.

Combat Setup

1. Equip your best weapon in your main hand and a shield or second weapon in your off hand.

2. Confirm a Totem of Undying is somewhere in your inventory.

3. Fight normally — when a hit would kill you, the totem activates from your inventory instead of your hand.

Boss and Raid Tactics

• Against the Wither, Ender Dragon, or Warden, keep a totem in inventory and focus both hands on damage.
• During raids, evokers drop totems; pick them up mid-fight and they immediately protect you.
• Because the totem is consumed on trigger, restock before the next dangerous encounter.
• Pair with strong armor and enchants so the totem is a last resort rather than a frequent occurrence.

Managing Consumption

After a totem triggers, check your inventory immediately. If you carried only one, you are now unprotected — retreat and replace it before continuing.
