Prioritize which items repair first
Understand the repair order
The Inventory Mending Mod distributes XP among all damaged Mending items in your inventory. By default, items typically repair in a specific order—usually based on their position or damage level—though the exact priority may depend on your mod configuration.
Organize your inventory strategically
Place your most critical items (like your main pickaxe or sword) in slots that receive priority repairs. Keep backup or less-essential Mending gear in other inventory slots if you want them to repair more slowly.
Use multiple Mending items wisely
If you carry many Mending-enchanted items, XP gets split among them. Carrying fewer Mending items means each one repairs faster. Remove Mending gear you don't currently need to speed up repairs on your active tools.
Check your mod settings
Some configurations may allow you to adjust repair priority or disable Mending on specific item types. Review your mod's config file if you want finer control over which items repair and in what order.
