How to Fix the Sort or Transfer Button Not Appearing
Check for Mod Conflicts First
If the sort or transfer button is missing from your inventory or chest GUI, the most common cause is a conflict with another inventory-management mod. Two mods trying to add buttons to the same screen can hide or override each other. Disable other inventory or GUI mods one at a time to identify the culprit.
Verify the Mod Is Actually Loaded
- Confirm the mod appears in your mods list for the correct game version.
- Make sure you launched the profile that includes the mod, not a vanilla profile.
- If you recently added it, fully restart the game rather than reloading a world.
GUI and Resolution Issues
On very small GUI scales or unusual resolutions, buttons can be pushed off-screen or overlap other elements. Try adjusting your GUI scale in video settings. Some resource packs or GUI-overhaul packs reposition inventory elements and can hide mod buttons — test with a default resource pack.
When Sorting Works but Transfer Does Not
The transfer button only appears in container screens (chests, barrels, and similar), not in your bare player inventory. If you are looking for it in the wrong screen, it will not show. Open an actual storage block and check again.
If none of these steps help, check the mod's documentation for known incompatibilities, and test in a fresh world with only this mod enabled to isolate the problem.
