Repair a Damaged Tool in Your Inventory

Quick Repair Without a Crafting Table

Repair damaged tools instantly by using materials directly from your inventory—no crafting table needed.

Steps

1. Gather repair material: Obtain the material that matches your tool (iron ingots for iron tools, diamond for diamond tools, etc.)

2. Hold the material: Pick up the repair material and hold it in your cursor or hand

3. Right-click the damaged tool: Locate the damaged tool in your inventory and right-click it while holding the repair material

4. Confirm the repair: The tool's durability will restore. You may need multiple materials for heavily damaged tools

Tips

  • Keep repair materials in your inventory for quick access during exploration
  • The amount of durability restored depends on the material type
  • This works for any tool that normally accepts that repair material at an anvil
  • You can repair multiple tools in succession by repeating the process
