Inventory Interactions Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I repair a tool in my inventory?
Hold the repair material (like iron ingots for iron tools) in one hand, then right-click the damaged tool in your inventory. The tool will repair by one durability point per interaction.
Can I merge two partially broken tools together?
Yes, hold one damaged tool and right-click it onto another damaged tool of the same type in your inventory. The durability combines, and one tool is consumed in the process.
What happens if I right-click with the wrong repair material?
Nothing will happen—the mod only accepts the correct repair material for each tool type. Make sure you're using the material the tool is made from.
Do I need to use a name tag to rename items?
Yes, hold a name tag in one hand and right-click the item stack you want to rename. The item will be renamed to whatever the name tag is set to.
Can I craft complex recipes by right-clicking ingredients?
The mod supports right-click crafting for simple recipes where you combine ingredients directly in your inventory. Complex multi-step recipes may not work this way—check your mod's configuration for supported recipes.
Does this mod work with enchanted tools?
Yes, repairing and merging work with enchanted tools. The enchantments are preserved during the repair and merge process.
Will this mod slow down my game?
No, the mod is designed to be lightweight and should have minimal performance impact. It only processes interactions when you right-click, not constantly in the background.
Can I disable specific features I don't want?
Yes, the mod is configurable—you can enable or disable repair, merging, renaming, and crafting features in the config file to suit your playstyle.
Does this work with modded tools and materials?
Most modded tools and materials are compatible, but it depends on how they're coded. If a modded tool doesn't work, check if the mod author has added compatibility or if your config needs adjustment.
What's the difference between this and using an anvil?
This mod lets you repair and combine items instantly in your inventory without opening a menu or spending experience levels, making it much faster for quick repairs during gameplay.
