Combine Durability From Two Damaged Tools

When you have two partially damaged tools of the same type, merge them to create one tool with combined durability.

Steps

1. Have two matching tools: Ensure both tools are the same type (two iron pickaxes, two diamond swords, etc.)

2. Hold one tool: Pick up the first tool in your cursor

3. Right-click the second tool: While holding the first tool, right-click on the second tool in your inventory

4. Receive the merged tool: The two tools combine into a single tool with their durability added together

Important Notes

• Both tools must be identical in type to merge
• Enchantments on the tools may be affected—verify the result before relying on it
• This is useful for extending tool life without needing repair materials
• The merged tool takes up only one inventory slot
