Protect Important Items from Sorting

Locking Slots

Some items you want to keep in specific places—like tools, weapons, or rare blocks. Use slot locking to prevent them from moving during sorting.

1. Open your inventory

2. Hold Alt (Advanced Operation Key)

3. Click on the slot containing the item you want to protect

4. The slot will lock (usually indicated visually)

5. Press R to sort—locked items stay in place

Unlocking Slots

To unlock a slot and allow it to be sorted again:

1. Hold Alt

2. Click the locked slot

3. It will unlock and participate in future sorts

You can lock multiple slots at once. This is useful for keeping your hotbar organized or preserving the position of frequently-used items while the rest of your inventory gets tidied up.
